How to secure your account

Your profile's Security section is where you change your password and turn on two-factor authentication for an extra layer of protection. This guide shows you how.

Before you start

• Open your Profile from your avatar, and find the Security section.

Change your password

In the Security section, select Change on the password row and follow the prompts. Your sign-in is managed by your identity provider, so the change is handled securely there.

Set up two-factor authentication

Use the two-factor panel to set up an authenticator app. Once enrolled, you'll be asked for a code from your app when you sign in, which protects your account even if your password is known.

Done

Your account is protected by your new password and, if you set it up, two-factor authentication.

Good to know

• Two-factor authentication is the single biggest improvement you can make to your account's security. It's worth the couple of minutes to set up.
• Keep your authenticator app and its backup safe; you'll need it each time you sign in from a new device.

Do I have to set up two-factor authentication? It isn't required, but it's strongly recommended, especially for administrators.
