How to Add or Remove a Feed from a Project

In Buildcam, a camera is represented by a feed, and a feed can belong to one or more projects. Adding a feed to a project replaces the old "associate a controller with an installation" step; removing it replaces "disassociate".

Removing a feed from a project does not delete the feed, its settings, or its images — it simply stops the feed appearing in that project.

To swap out a faulty controller mid-project with a spare, see Replacing a Faulty Controller Mid-Project.

Add a feed to a project

  1. Go to Feeds and open the feed you want to add.
  2. Open the Projects tab.
  3. Click Add to project.
  4. Choose the project from the list and click Add to project.

You can also add feeds from the Feeds list: select one or more feeds and choose Add to Project. When adding brand-new hardware through Add feed, you can attach it straight away using the Add to project field.

Adding and removing feeds is an Org Admin action — the controls appear for Org Admins.

Remove a feed from a project

  1. Go to Feeds, open the feed, and select the Projects tab.
  2. On the project's row, open the menu and choose Remove from project.
  3. Confirm the removal.

The feed (and all of its images) remains on your account and in any other projects it belongs to. To wind a project down entirely, see concluding a project.
