Getting Started: photoSentinel Tempo

Follow the steps below to get started with your new photoSentinel Tempo.

Step 1 - Sign in to Buildcam

Buildcam is your online platform for configuring and monitoring your system. Sign in at buildcam.photosentinel.com and bookmark it for future reference — you'll perform many of the steps below there.

You should have received an email with sign-in details. If not, check your spam folder or contact our Support team.

Step 2 - Create a project and add your feed

In Buildcam, your cameras are organised into projects, and each camera is a feed.

  1. Create a project: go to Projects → New project and follow the wizard. Full instructions here.
  2. Add your Tempo as a feed: go to Feeds → Add feed, enter the device serial number, and attach it to your project. Learn how to add or remove feeds here.

There is no plan-selection step when creating a project or adding a feed. Plan and billing are managed per feed afterwards, on the feed's Services tab.

Step 3 - Set up and test your hardware

Follow the video tutorial above to set up your equipment and check that it is connecting to the network and uploading photos.

Test your system for at least 24 hours before proceeding with on-site installation, checking that photos are being uploaded correctly and with the desired camera settings.

Download the Tempo Quick Start Guide PDF here.

Step 4 - Configure your settings

  1. Configure your shooting schedule: set up your day-to-day shoot and upload regime on the feed's Schedule tab. Learn how here.
  2. Set your alert preferences: alerts let you know if your system behaves unexpectedly. They surface as Notifications, and you can choose how you receive them in Notification Preferences. Learn about the Alerts System here.

Step 5 - Install on site

Once you've configured your system and thoroughly tested it, you are ready to install on-site. Refer back to the setup tutorial in Step 3 for on-site installation tips.
