A livelapse plays a camera's recent frames back as a moving sequence, so you can watch how the site changed over the last day or week in seconds. This guide shows you how to play one and control the playback.
Before you start
- Open the camera whose recent activity you want to watch.
Play a livelapse
From the camera's gallery, open Livelapse. It plays the recent frames as a sequence.
Control the playback
- Duration — choose how far back to play: the last 24, 48, or 72 hours, the last 7 days, or a custom range from the calendar.
- Speed — play at 1x, 2x, or 4x.
- Play and pause, step frame by frame, and pinch or zoom to look closer.

You have watched the site's recent changes as a quick moving sequence.

- A livelapse is a quick, on-the-fly playback of recent frames. For a finished, shareable timelapse video, use the project's Reports tab.
- The duration presets are the fastest way in; use the custom range when you want a specific window.
- How smooth the playback looks depends on how often the camera captures during the window you choose.
Common questions
What's the difference between a livelapse and a report video? A livelapse is a quick playback you control in the app. A report is a generated timelapse video you can download and keep. See View timelapse reports.
Why does the livelapse look jumpy? It plays the frames the camera actually captured. A longer capture interval means fewer frames in the window, so the sequence looks less smooth.
