How to forward photos to cloud storage
Automatically push a feed's uploaded photos to Dropbox, Google Drive, and other destinations.
Photo forwarding automatically pushes a feed's uploaded photos to an external destination like Dropbox or Google Drive, so your images land in your own storage without anyone downloading them by hand. This guide shows you how to set it up.
Before you start
- Setting up forwarding is an administrator task, done on the feed's Media Handling section.
- For account-based destinations (Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Procore), link the account first in your Profile integrations. For S3 or FTP, have the credentials ready.
Step 1 — Open Media Handling
Open the feed and select the Media Handling section. Find the Photo forwarding area, described as "Push uploaded photos to external destinations."
Step 2 — Add a destination
Select Add destination and choose the type:
- Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Procore — use an account you've linked in your Profile. OneDrive asks which drive to use; Procore asks for the company, project, and album.
- Amazon S3 — enter the access key, secret key, bucket name, and region (or a custom S3-compatible endpoint).
- FTP — enter the connection details.
Step 3 — Save and confirm
Save the destination. New photos the feed uploads are forwarded to it from then on. You can edit, remove, or turn a destination off from its row, and use Test where available to check the connection.

Photos the camera uploads now flow automatically to your chosen destination.
Good to know
- Forwarding applies to new uploads from the point you set it up, not to photos already in the gallery.
- If a linked account's access is revoked on the provider's side, Sentinel OS shows a notice that forwarding stopped for that destination, which you can acknowledge once you've fixed it.
- You can add more than one destination to a feed.
Common questions
Does forwarding move my photos out of Sentinel OS? No. It sends a copy to your destination; the images stay in your gallery too.
Why did forwarding stop? Usually the linked account's access was revoked on the provider's side. Re-link the account in your Profile and acknowledge the notice on the feed.
Can I forward photos already captured? Forwarding applies to new uploads going forward. For existing images, download them from the gallery.
