How to share a photo

Sharing a photo creates a public link that anyone can open, even without a Sentinel OS account. It is the quickest way to send a single moment to someone outside your team. This guide shows you how, and what to keep in mind about the link.

Before you start

• Open the photo you want to share in the gallery.
• Sharing is one photo at a time. Sharing several photos at once isn't available yet.

Share a photo

Open the photo and select Share in the action bar. In the popover, select Publish to create the public link, then copy it. Anyone with the link can view that photo.

Done

You have a link to the photo that anyone can open in a browser.

Good to know

• A share link is public and permanent. Anyone with the link can view the photo, and the link can't be switched off on its own. If you need to stop sharing a photo, hiding the photo is what removes public access.
• Sharing the same photo again gives you the same link, not a new one.
• Bulk sharing isn't available yet. Share photos one at a time, or download several and send the files instead.

Common questions

Can I turn off a share link later? A link can't be revoked on its own. To stop public access to a shared photo, the photo needs to be hidden. Plan to share only what you're comfortable being public.

Does the person I share with need an account? No. The link opens the photo in any browser without signing in.

Can I share a whole album or several photos at once? Not yet. Sharing is one photo at a time. For several images, download them and send the files.
