How to see your first images

Once a camera is capturing, everything it records builds up in its gallery: a chronological record of the site you can scrub through, filter by date, download, and share. This guide takes you from the projects list all the way to browsing a camera's images for the first time.

Before you start

• You need access to at least one project that has a camera capturing images. If your projects list is empty, see Create your first project, or ask your Org Admin to add you to a project.

Step 1 — Open a project

Select Projects in the sidebar, then select the card for the project you want to view. The project opens on its Media tab.

Step 2 — Find the camera on the Media tab

The Media tab shows a card for each camera on the site, with its name, location, and most recent capture. If you are on the Sitemap or Reports tab, select Media to come back.

Step 3 — Open the camera

Select a camera card. Its gallery opens, showing the images it has captured.

Step 4 — Browse the images

The gallery opens on a timeline of images, newest first. From here you can:

• Use the date and time controls to jump to a specific moment.
• Switch to grid view to scan many images at once.
• Select images to download or share.

Good to know

• New images can take a few minutes to appear after a camera captures them, depending on its schedule and connection.
• The gallery defaults to the timeline view. Grid view is better for scanning; timeline is better for following the site day by day.
• If a project has several cameras, each one has its own gallery. Go back to the Media tab to switch between them.

Common questions

Why does a camera show no images yet? It may not have captured anything, or its most recent images are still uploading. A brand-new or offline camera will have an empty or short gallery.

Can other people see the same images? Yes. Anyone with access to the project can open the same camera and see the same gallery.

How do I download or share an image? Select the image (or images) in the gallery and use the download or share action. See Download images.
