How to manage a feed's projects

A feed can belong to one or more projects. Linking a feed to a project makes it appear on that site for the people who have access to it; removing it from a project takes it off that site without deleting the feed or its images. This guide shows you how to manage which projects a feed belongs to.

Before you start

• Managing a feed's projects is an administrator task.
• The feed already exists in your organisation. This links an existing feed to a project; it does not create a new feed.

Link a feed to a project

Open the feed and select the Projects section. It lists the projects the feed is currently in. Select Add to project, choose one or more projects, and confirm. The feed now appears on each of those sites.

Remove a feed from a project

In the Projects section, find the project in the list and select Remove. You are asked to confirm, because it takes the feed off that site. The feed stays in your organisation and keeps all its images.

Done

The feed is linked to (or removed from) the projects you chose. People with access to those projects see the change immediately.

Good to know

• Removing a feed from a project does not delete it. The feed and all its images remain in your organisation and in any other projects it belongs to.
• A feed can be in several projects at once. This is useful when one camera is relevant to more than one site or work package.
• To add many feeds to a project at once, use the bulk Add to project action on the Feeds dashboard instead of doing it feed by feed.

Common questions

If I remove a feed from a project, do I lose its images? No. The images stay with the feed. You only stop the feed appearing on that project.

Can two projects share the same camera? Yes. Link the feed to both projects and it appears on each.
